Dr. Dana Nelson is a 2017 graduate of the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University, located in Philadelphia, PA, with a bachelor’s degree in biology from Saint Francis University. During her time at Salus University, Dr. Nelson received clinical honors during her ocular disease rotation. Following graduation from optometry school, Dr. Nelson resided and practiced in the Bethlehem/Allentown area. Being a native to Elk County, Dr. Nelson is excited to again be living in the central Pennsylvania region.
Dr. Nelson has a large family that she enjoys spending time with in her home town of Johnsonburg, PA. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending as much time as possible outdoors hiking, camping and kayaking with friends and family.
Dr. Nelson will be providing comprehensive eye exams to include treatment and management of ocular disease along with performing routine eye exams. She is also skilled in the fitting of soft and rigid gas permeable contact lenses. Dr. Nelson will be seeing patients in both the State College and Philipsburg office locations.
